Thanks for the link, r-rooter. Having seen how the purchase of the Police Air Wing 135s and Dauphins was handled, I can't say I'm particularly surprised to read this. I think a few of us could possibly even hazard a guess as to who might be involved :cool:

This rather interesting report the other day makes mention of some utterly incredible costs for the operation of this type - not to mention the availability!

An hour of flight time for a Caracal, for example, rose from €19,000 in 2012 to €34,000 in 2016.

Here is the original story and the letter demanding payment! I would imagine that so many inside Airbus Helicopters feel betrayed by these activities, yet so many work this way, and even more approve and utilize this system. Approval for a 64 million Euro commission didn't happen at the Sales level.
