Never mind that, what about the EK0083 to GVA on 14 Dec? Not so much as a squeak, anywhere. Frankly, I am amazed.

Why do people find it necessary to air dirty laundry in public? There are private forums in other sites to discuss things.
A sad refection....

Come on then, don't keep that secret all to yourself?!

Diverted to LYS then back to GVA.

Come on then, don't keep that secret all to yourself?!

Well, now that you asked, there were tales of long taxi times, assigned FLs that were not in the flight plan, and dodgy weather at GVA.
But surely, if you do the miles to go vs. fuel remaining calcs, you don’t reach a point where you get an eicas fuel low level (don’t quote me on whether that’s a warning or a caution,it’s been a long day) message when executing a missed approach. Perhaps an earlier diversion was called for?
The planned alternate was binned as being too far away, so the crew elected to go to LYS, called mayday on finals, and had 1800kg left in the tanks at the gate. After a quick refuel, they were off again. Alls week that ends well.
Tea and biscuits anyone?

Crabs! And the fat allowance was alightened a bit .....
That's what most are after in GVA after all, aren't they??;)

To be fair, Europe around the alps can get to you!

But if you'd stick to the perfect CCI and SOPs, this would certainly never happen! :ugh:

What you speak of are either 'tales' or the truth. If it's the second one, then you must be very close to those involved. But unless you were there, speculation or rumor isn't particularly helpful.

Way too much 'trial by media (social or otherwise)' going on these days.

Infamous EK pilot rumour.

1800 kg’s is more than enough in a little jet. Roughly 18 minutes in a 777-300 and 21 minutes in 777-200at cruise speed.

Yes it happened as p7 said - more or less. But a separate thread may be more appropriate than on This EK 35 thread

That's exactly what makes it efficient :ok:
The fatboy wouldn't even reach K5 taxiing with that amount ..... :{;)

You are right, not even K8 with all the Boeing pilots in front bleating they are short of fuel...and engines😉

I’m afraid to say that it’s gospel. Take a peek at the internal reporting, there were 3 different spins put on it, somehow, and on the back of recent events elsewhere, surely questions must be asked in the puzzle palace, at the very least. Never mind the NAA investigative bodies.
