Hello guys dose any one know airlines do line training in the middle east

There were some line training programmes around not too long ago but they seem to be dying out. Pegasus I believe still run one in the region of 80,000 eu for 500 hrs + type rating costs

This paying for flying exploitation needs to stop. One of the reasons that airlines are NOT paying the honest pilot salaries they supposed to be paying. The public needs to wake up that becoming an airline pilot requires an investment of around $150K or more so that later the airlines can exploit you by paying you peanuts. They are abusing the fascination of aviation that people have. A dream will turn into a financial nightmare for the rest of ones life! For aspiring want to be pilots please investigate first into pilot salaries before you start and you will come to the end conclusion that the numbers don’t add up unless you go to China. A roughly €2000/month net salary for a beginning F/O and perhaps €4500/month as a Captain on an A320/B737 or any other entry level type doesn’t allow you to live or pay back your investment. Airlines are using this fascination of flight that people have to maintain for them an ‘healthy’ global pilot oversupply in order to suppress salaries! It seems that people in the USA have woken up and that regional carriers now are struggling to find pilots and are offering signing bonuses and higher wages but still far off of what is honest and sustainable, this in combination with long and exhausting working schedules. My message for the airlines is this: Either start funding initial pilot training programs or pay higher wages. I hope that the rest of the world wakes up in order to make a career as a pilot possible again.

I don't see how and why it will change as senior pilots from many Airlines are paying for the flight training of their children...
It means that the one complaining about their terms and conditions going down are also part of the problem...
If it is acceptable for their children why do they blame the others doing it ?

As usual supply and demand will dictate and I’ll guarantee you that there won’t be enough rich kids out there with rich families to support the pilot demand in the future. So if the airlines want to play the supply and demand game, go right ahead but the unfortunate is inevitable which means there will be a lot a parked airplanes and reduced flights available in the future. Look what happened at Barcelona airport with Vueling in the summer of 2016 where they had 7000+ passengers stranded due to ‘operational’ reason, yeah, right! Pilots resigned in significant numbers the months before. Now Ryanair this year! It seems that the airlines as always need to learn the hard way. I’m an airline pilot myself! I’m not advocating for bucket loads of cash for pilots but a sustainable solution, which works for the airlines and pilots alike. What’s happening now is not sustainable, neither were the contracts for pilots back in 70’s and 80’s where pilots went to work a few times a month for a almost millionaire salary. Good luck to all of you aspiring pilots and airlines.

The sooner the wannabes stop paying to fly the sooner the airlines will start improving T&C's.
Mena, you're hurting others and yourself. In the future you'll be complaining about the terrible T&C's you helped create.

Depends on what type rating you have and TT but try Egypt, NESMA or FlyEgypt! Good luck!!

I totally agree with every word you have said , i have paid for my training from A to Z 105K $ in 2010,finished all my training in 2012 and been waiting for 5 long damn years , thought of pay to fly but when you look at the offers out there none make sense, its either you will fly for free or will get the 1000$ salary where you will have to pay for every thing else,after all what I have paid for training cant afford to pay another 50K$ to get rated and 500HRS ,airline taking advantage of people wanting to become pilots and paying for their line!


Let me talk about my sand pit,situation in Bahrain for example is frustrating,there is around 80+ ready to join pilots some of them holding EASA licenses,FAA and other respective authorities licenses but they are all unemployed while the local airline is struggling to manage flying and always complaining about shortage of both FOs and Capts , Expats Capts are avoiding the company due to the job stability and first officers joining for the regional experience to join one the other major gulf companies .
