I was watching some Discovery Channel programme the other day, where the participants were in the town/city of Roswell NM chatting and on a regular basis a fast jet was scooting about doing tight turns. It looked like a Tornado to me, and because of the number of times it was seen, though unrelated to the programme, I'm certain that it was that. Bearing in mind that Nellis is 700miles away, it's unlikely to have been an orphan of a Red Flag Det, so what might it be doing there ? Is there a privately owned Tonka there, this is the USA, so you never know!!

I agree. The last time I was in the Death Valley area, I saw a couple of Luftwaffe Tonkas orbiting at low-level in the Panamint Valley, near the eastern end of “Star Wars Canyon”.

I presumed they were loitering out of sight, waiting to attack in the China Lake Range, just to the west.
