Hi,
We are planing to park our aircraft in KUL for 10 days and we are looking into option to store our alcohol on board in a warehouse.
Has anybody got experience whome to contact?
Our handling agent told us that customs would confiscate our alcohol after 24h.
Any help appreciated....

Interesting, but unfortunately I have no solution.
FlyMD?

Does anybody know exactly why VistaJet cannot currently operate out of Malaysia, due to "operational reasons". ??

Not in KL any more, but we‘ve never had problems with alcohol stored ON the aircraft.. It‘s when we stored it in the hangar that we had it confiscated, because there was no duty paid on it in Malaysia. When we asked about a legal way to store alcohol airside, the local uniforms were gloriously incapable of even suggesting how to go about it.

In short, if you can‘t keep it on the airplane because it will spoil, you‘re screwed... Because of the camera system installed in Subang, the usual 500RM bribe won‘t guarantee success...

I fly in and out of Subang regularly, and although I have never been stopped and checked I have heard that observation of alcohol being off loaded is pretty efficient. 1984 rules. Take care

What alcohol do you have that can't be stored onboard the aircraft for 10 days?

Wine.
I previously flew a Falcon for a vineyard regularly around the world, usually departed home base with over 20 cases and it was a PITA when stopping somewhere hot or cold having to remove it all for storage. It was also interesting listing it as ships stores.... raised a few eyebrows from time to time.
Part of it was marketing, like taking a bunch of New York wine critics for a 90 min low level joy flight over up state getting them tanked. The reviews were spectacular and sales went up over 400% in the region, certainly kept the boss happy.

Interesting that their own bottled wine can't last for 10 days in storage on board? I've never encountered that problem in many years of biz aviation all around the world. Could some of the wine be shipped ahead to meet the aircraft around the date of departure?
