I have heard they wish to open up a holding pool of pilots and are looking at initially asking those who have left the company in the past few years. No idea of numbers or time scale.

They sent an email to almost every pilot that had to leave the company during the 3 plans of work force reduction (mostly captains on the last one). The e-mail states that if one wishes to apply for a FIRST OFFICER position, his resume will be considered.

I believe that it is a kind of "cover my ass" maneuver , but definitely a sign that something is cooking at NJE.

Met a dude who has quit at NJE and was on his last few trips. He said quite a few had quit - no idea if this is true.

FO have been waiting now nearly 10 years for upgrading... Being a captain and based in France / Belgium does not seem to be an option, since they fired 123 captains for this reason in 2012.

Curious to see how they will shape the proposal

What's the current pay scale and rostering like at NJE? Thanks in advance.

Since there was no hiring for nearly 10 years, the salaries must me quite high ( all things being relative) In 2006 the new Captains were 95000 Gross, plus inflation rate every year, plus bonus.
(Last year, captains at the top of the list received something like 25000 (25K) Bonus)

Roster must be 6/4 or 7/6 depending on the fleet.

Would be interesting to see how the future CoS would turn out with this gig. Anyways, currently it's only the management side - EJME - that seems to be looking, and they are not know to pay well.
