It would appear that a baggage loading vehicle and a Qatar 787 had a coming together over the weekend at Manchester. Aircraft skin pierced and scrape damage. Aircraft now parked near the ex Monarch hanger.

Much scratching of heads on how to repair it as I believe thatthe airframces are a) composite and b) built in sections.

This is going to cost someone an awful lot of money.

Just waiting now for the "duct tape" and "it'll buff out" suggestions!

Try TUI instead!

Boeing will fix it, they've done a few.

This happened to a Norwegian 787, presumably at LGW, last week as well. Friend of the family was due to fly on it, had a 24 hour delay while they sorted out a replacement aircraft.

The insurance premiums for ground handling companies is going to go through the roof when the repair bills and associated costs start rolling in for these composite repairs....they won't be quick or cheap!

Apparently a NWG 787 has been in MON ENG @ BHX to resolve ground damage, same aircraft ?

No, the 787 that's been at BHX hadn't flown a revenue service since the end of October. It finally went back into service yesterday.

Any update on this? Aircraft is still parked on stand at MAN.

Don't expect it to take to the air for a while yet!
