Hi All
I am looking at routes to get back into flying, preferably as a Freelance FO.
Unfortunately, I had to stop flying full time when my then wife became quite ill and I had to look after our child. It corresponded with being made redundant.

I worked as an FO on Cessna CJ gaining 800 hours multi-crew around Europe.
In the meantime, I have been flying instructing in the UK.

Now I have the opportunity to restart flying. I would like to Freelance for a couple of years while my kids are in school and then in a couple of years build up to working full time.

I have had quotes to revalidate my C525 and Step up to a Excel. Looking at prices for these courses, they compare favourably with completing an IR on an MEP.

I have all the requirements to unfreeze the ATPL privilages apart from the ATPL skills test.

Question
Are people still hiring Freelance FOs on the C525 in the UK?
Any idea of the pay range for these companies?
Is there much opportunity to progress to command as a Freelance FO?

No
Not Much
No

With Part NCC it is a tad more difficult but if the manuals were written with this situation in mind, it should be ok

Thanks CL300, I feared as much.
Not sure if that is the case where I go from here.
