Due to the ever present gentrification of the surrounding areas, there are fewer greasy spoons than in the past, but this eatery has what you want https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186338-d1014989-Reviews-The_Battersea_Grill-London_England.html If that's too posh, then head along Falcon Rd towards Clapham Junction (10mins stroll from the helipad) where there are a couple of cafes that will make you happy to run back to the river.

Have been trying to remember a cafe last visited approx 10-years ago and that looks like the one - happy days!
