Hi Guys
It just occurred to me that each country has their own testing procedure.
For the DGAC FCL 055 VFR exams do I need in any exam section to be able to translate from French to English?

Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers RJ

I would not advise that you take the DGAC exam. The DGAC exam does require a knowledge of French.

You are better to go with Air English, a private company who undertake testing on behalf of DGAC. The exam is conducted entirely in English, by native English speakers. Moreover, the examiners use a bit of common-sense, and if they realise you are a native English speaker they will award you level 6, whatever your performance on the somewhat ridiculous multi-choice listening exam.

Yup you definitely need some French knowledge but it all worked out and got a Level 6:)
