Hayman Island helicopter emergency landing: four unhurt (http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/hayman-island-helicopter-crash-rescue-operation-under-way/news-story/452b67455704b9f9ca0a403c637e1f4f)

Good result.

On the news the footage appears to show the tail rotor rotating freely, with the MR stationary (floating benignly). If they were disconnected before “landing” it would seem an exceptional job by the pilot!

Trust Sky News to jump the gun. The article has been taken down, but why assume the worst without justification (OK headlines sell!)

Good to see that those floats actually keep the Robbie floating. :ok:

Female pilots wearing stilettos?

Or male pilots, whoever, by whatever explainable accidental means available. Send that R-whatever-it-is to the watery depths where they all belong.

Why are you even on this thread if you have no contribution to make other than your hogwash opinion??

Rotor Kop, this is an Internet forum...we all have cover names, mostly.

GulliBell may have written something you disagree with but that's why we're here, to banter, tease, argue and counter argue etc.

The often quoted 'I do not like what you say but I will defend your right to say it' is how it kind of works here...

Don't make it personal, play the topic not the man, and rise above it. Not everyone loves Robinson, Bell, Sikorsky, Hughes, etc..etc....etc.....ad nauseum quite frankly.

Cheers, FP...

Sinking a few Robo's as an artificial reef could be great for the sea creatures and may even save a few land-lubbers also.
Chances are, though, it would rust away before it hit the bottom :}

To celebrate the demise of another R-whatever-it-is, particularly thankful that no humans met their own demise on said occasion (which isn't usually the case).
