Dear All,

I know we all have better things to do than take pictures of machines that defy gravity. You all do stuff every day that's cool. It's even cooler to pretend it is ordinary. The slightly fatalistic, but zen, chopper pilot who makes it look easy because it is. Except it's not. It's extraordinary.

A good number of people on this forum live every kid's dream. Many adult's dream to do what you do every day too. So share it.

If it wasn't for Steve, Grant and Kevin there would not be a calendar. It appears they are the only ones not worrying about their Nomex gloves pilling in the wash to send the occasional pics to [email protected] ...

If you think Steve did not have to make a conscious effort to put down the banjo, stop trampling the grass in a circle, and shoot a quick pic to give us this month's image of an AW 109 in the Appalachians .... you are wrong. He has confided in me that he can only do two things at once. And one of them is breathing. Through his mouth.

But seriously .... I am happy to put this calendar together each month .... but please help out with high quality images because I can't pull them out of my ... .

You can download this month's image:

Beautiful... is it fair to call the 109 the Ferrari of the skies? (I've heard people all the MD500 series this.)
