Hi Folks,

I have been reading through the other Norwegian threads but can’t find any details about the Skype Interview that Norwegian conduct.

If there’s anyone that can give a heads up from their own experiences, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

I have the same one coming up next week (FO). I believe it is quite a new thing. Also interested in what to expect.

I was invited a few days ago as well, interested to hear from the ones being interviewed next week. All the slots were filled before I got the chance to pick one, waiting for more slots to be available :)

Hi guys, does anyone have any info regarding what base options are available on 737 when you start? Is LGW an option? Cheers!

fill you in on the contract terms being offered, and to answer any questions you may haveYou may wish to ask why a 5 on 4 off roster is currently advertised only for Scandinavia bases:

"Roster planned 1 month in advance. (5 Days On / 4 Days Off)” – Link:

http://www.aviationjobsearch.com/job/first-officers-b737-scandinavian-bergen-stavanger-trondheim-og-oslo-pilots-sh/9649325

It might be a trick to quell unrest spreading from Ryanair, or purely a treat. But why only for Scandinavian bases, are Norwegian’s SH pilots not 100% members of the same and horrifying atypical employment family?

Anyone know what the new Skype interview from NAS is all about?

Any ideas or topics I should prepare other than the usual "HR" questions?

You may also wish to ask Bondi why he was dismissed from his contract flying for Norwegian & Air Baltic, of course none of it was his fault, but rather greedy unscrupulous atypical employers. A bitter twisted individual who has maintained a vendetta against Norwegian, don’t take my word for it, 95% of his post are long winded cut and paste from anything he thinks is negative or can put a negative spin on it.

I will answer his question about 5 on 4 off is that it will not work in every base, Scandinavia also has grandfather rights.

There is no unrest spreading from Ryanair, Ryanair problems were made in Dublin, we do however see opportunities to increase our pay rates and Kjos has said as much, but seeing is believing with any employer and Norwegian are no different.

Besides the skype interview, did anything else change since Norwegian took over from OSM?

Thanks

INKJET;

It’s unfortunate you did not simply reply without entering the realm of fantasy. You had an equally creative collaborator in A320ECAM. Perhaps you should check your purported facts with Norwegian’s management. The Chief Chump may be ex-Ryanair, which could explain the 5/4 roster for the selected few. A cursory review of the Scandinavian press will reveal vindictive acts by Norwegian against its crews. The SH pilots at bases outside of Scandinavia pay union dues but have no union representation to the airline should they also desire a 5/4 roster. No doubt this is the cause of your frustrated diatribe.

Applicants should take full advantage of the Skype interview and ask about the “permanent employment” claim, in particular; the ‘Supplement Agreement’ between Norwegian and the agency for your services, and how it may be summarily terminated without reason or recourse. Good luck.

It is very difficult to reply to you without being seen as abusive or personal, the bottom line is that long term industry watchers see you for what you are
, a vindictive nasty piece of work, no one is interested in your views, you have proved to have been wrong on Norwegian time after time, but you can’t let it go, please tell us your side of the story and also that of the CP pilots car at Baltic

INKJET;

I simply posted information on Norwegian’s advertised 5 on 4 off roster and provided a link to the ad. I asked why this was not available for all. I apparently touched a nerve.

Your difficulty is that you are unable to offer any reply other than insult and invention. A method you continue to employ with even more bizarre claims.

I’m prepared to give you another chance to reply on the subject matter. You stated that;

I will answer his question about 5 on 4 off, is that it will not work in every base
Why is that exactly? - industry watchers and Norwegian’s non-Scandi based pilots might be interested in your views.

A 5/4 roster does not always fit in with production planning when crews are regularly night stopping out of their own base, this is particularly true of LGW crew where there will always be some in hotels in ARN OSL CPH every night.

Not everyone wants a ridgid 5 4 roster.

5 4 is part of the core agreement for Norway.

Regular night stopping, guess that doesn't happen too much in Scandinavia......

Are they still sacking contract pilots over the winter? if so, are they still demanding the repayment of the bond even though the pilots are left without income?

Haha please tell me more. Bondi, you and your posts are not constructive at all. Can we please just talk about Norwegian without your bs posts in between?

It’s unfortunate the personal attack has continued and provoked further response. It implies my post on the 5 on 4 off roster for a selected few did indeed touch a nerve. Reports also suggest a greatly improved CLA for Scandinavian bases:

“For the pilots, according to the press release, the agreement will provide competitive payroll development” – link:

https://www.dn.no/nyheter/2017/11/01/0709/Luftfart/norwegian-og-piloter-enige-om-ny-trearig-tariffavtale

An Animal Farm CLA policy may have been adopted - all pilots are equal but some are more equal than others. Squealer may tell the sheep it isn’t so but Napoleon knows the truth.

Incoming puppies.

all pilots are equal but some are more equal than othersHave you considered that the company you joined is no longer the one in existence today? A company is the sum of it's leadership, strategy, employees and the market it operates in (they must change to survive). This is why it's pointless trying to point out the negative aspects of the said airline when you were employed. Most people won't get to see what you saw, because it's a function of the past. Things change after mistakes have happened.

I can draw on the exact opposite example. I joined a company about 3 years ago that truly appreciated it's employees and bent over backwards for them. Now they're on some kind of ill-conceived drive to destroy us by outsourcing all our work. Move on dude. Drop it.

Sorry to ask here on this topic but instead of opening a new one I would like to know if someone has already done the skype interview for 737 First Officers, I have it next week. Any suggestions as to what to ask or expect?

Any help/tips would be much appreciated.

PM me so I don't make this thread drift.

Thanks!

Why would it be 'thread drift' if the title of the thread is 'Norwegian - Skype interview for DEC 737'?

Thread drift is the likes of Direct Bondi interjecting with his predictable and unwanted agenda.

Instead of a PM I'm sure there are many who would appreciate reading what the interview entails......hence the thread in the first place.

I was under the impression this thread was for captains, or at least that is what I understood by DEC, however, I would be very pleased if people decided to share their opinion openly and publicly on this thread.

The PM thing was only to make sure the author of this topic, and the rest of the contributors, wouldn't see information not relevant/applicable for their position.

Ricky, if this is with the agency then it will just be a 5-10 minute chat to make sure you really do exist and want the job. Nothing technical and not a proper interview at all. It's just a bit of due diligence the agency is doing before they put you forward. At least, this was the case for the 787 recently.

Good luck

I did it, really simple and fast. Basic questions about yourself, why DY, why should we choose you and what do you know about us. Some information what to expect next, and that's it.

Can anyone say what is the time-span between Skype interview and receiving a response?

a-ricky-town
10th Nov 2017, 21:22
In my case, positive outcome, literally less than 18 hours but people say that it can take much longer. Apparently rejection emails are sent rather early so as a norm the longer it takes, the better...

Please forgive this approach but can you tell me a bit more? I applied through OSM and got through to the online tests and now I waiting to see if i have got through to the interview stage. I am assumming you too did the online tests and passed and got to do the Skype interview? Thanks again.

a-ricky-town
13th Nov 2017, 09:21
I think it is the same for everyone. Aplication submitted, then if pre-selected you are invited to do the online tests and then invited for the skype interview and then it should come the personal/group inteview and sim check.

Waiting times come at every stage of the process, now I am at my third period after having submitted CV and completed the online tests and got invited to the skype inteview. Currently awaiting a slot to do the rest in Oslo/Gatwick and then it will come the final countdown to see if I finally made it through.
