Has EK reached a growth limit?

Looking at the numbers. There are 44 more A380 to come. The delivery schedule has been reduced. The rumour is that the 380 will start to be retired next year as the airframes reach 10 years. 4 rumoured to go next year. Only 6 to be delivered.
Maybe they are just trying to reach the 100 aircraft fleet so they can tell the world then that’s where it will slow down.
There are 15 more ER’s to be delivered. There are 5 more 300’s on the line. These will go soon as will the older ER’s. The ER deliveries will last until about 2019. Then there will be a gap until the X deliveries start. These are rumoured to be replacements for older ER’s
TC has stated that EK is not in a position to order more aircraft when recently quieried about the 787/350 debate.

Company size may be at a standstill soon.

13 -300ERs parked at DWC yesterday, some quite new ones, down by Cargo Central. Lots of sensors taped up. No 380s parked.

In a few months it may well be 380s that are parked and tractors that are not. Who knows.
I believe it's 12 380s to be delivered next year. 6 from this year were deferred to next year. And 6 from next year were deferred to the year after to keep the delivery number to 12 instead of 18.

Growth is over Halas. Older aircraft being replaced only. The competition in the Middle East leaves no room for growing to none of the carriers here. Trend moves now to merging or codeshares.
