Ab-initio Training

I wonder what does the Ab-initio training mean? is it a scholarship program or..? thanks

It is Latin for 'from the beginning', but in the pilot training context you can also take it as 'absolute initial', even though it doesn't mean that.
It basically means that they will train you from scratch. Ab-Initio courses are for people with zero experience or knowledge in aviation.
Regarding scholarship programs, there are quite a few ab initio courses out there which are sponsored by airlines (where you will be a cadet of that airline), but the majority of courses out there are self sponsored.
