Today' price for a lear 45 and 60 are very close with entry level plane in the low/mid 1M.

I know most of the on paper difference but had some question from real life experience:

1) From a pax POV which cabin is better? I know one is taller the other longer/better config but in real life once you are seated does it make a big difference?
Also is one cabin quieter then the other?

2) Extra range: Again on paper there is around 200 miles difference.
We are in PHX and go to BOS and MIA often, would it make a big difference?
It seems like should be able to do nonstop East and one stop return for both trips.

3) Cost again on paper very little difference in DOC, is this accurate? I would have thought 45 would be a bit cheaper but it doesn't seem so from all reports I read.

4)Any other consideration ?

Thank you

45 DOCs are significantly less; 60's break a lot and have pretty interesting runway performance.

I think those routes would need a fuel stop on a 45. 60 should be OK I think. Bit rusty on the performance side.

Cabin, 60 is as you say, larger. But once seated, little difference. Noise about the same.

Neither are particularly comfortable with a full load (The sofa on the 60 is tiny, and any more than 6 people in a 45 bump knees). If you regularly want to do that route with 7/8 PAX i'd be looking at a Hawker 800XP, Hawker 1000 or Falcon 50.

Or spend a bit more and get a Citation X/601.

Also research the avionics capability for upcoming RNP and FANS. The 45 is limited and may not be able to be upgraded to RNP1 because the display drivers for the screens is inadequate. That might be why they brought out the 75 which is the same aircraft with upgraded avionics.

The 75 also has a decent performance and useful load boost from the avionics change and the new wing - the Garmin kit removes a fair bit of mass from the nose and the wing gives you more lift.

75 is what the 45 should always have been - I hear Bombardier are offering a decent trade inndeal for your used 45.
