My father, aged 97 passed away yesterday. He was an RAF engineer who served at Boscombe when I was born - 1950 - and completed his career, from a Halton apprentice to Air Cdre - in 1975. I'd like to get in touch with the RAF boss at Boscombe, if there is one, to ask a couple of questions. I appreciate its very much a civilian/MOD outfit now, but any ideas? Much appreciated.

ninety one ex-apprentices went on to achieve Air Rank. Many more became commissioned officers, including Sir Frank Whittle "father of the jet engine"

Ex 'Brat', Boscombe and Air Officer; what a career!
And made it to 97 - wonderful!

You must be very proud of him.

p.s. Someone came up with a suggestion but has removed it. Must have decided it wasn't of value.

ETPS may be more approachable, though www.boscombedownraes.org may be of use too.
