Does anyone know why there are about 5 aircraft (king airs and one citation) flying a north/ south pattern at 500-700' for at least the last hour since about 0800 off the Sunshine Coast.

Ejector, don't think so
AMSA used to train aircraft crews in marine stuff. GWA Brisbane did a lot of it in their PA31's
There were King Air's, Citations and a AC500 out there this time, do the crews still get training or do AMSA just grab who ever is available and away you go
