Hi all,
We are probably getting a g200 +-10 years old.
My question is that we operate very often from a 6000ft field, it is the right machine? Ive read it needs so much runway.
Can I go full fuel with max pax available and do 6/7 hours in the air from that field?
Thanks

Simple answer - No.

Friend of mine flys a 2007 G200 out of KCRQ (west coast of USA) Whenever they need to go east the furthest they can go out of 4,900ft runway is around 1700 miles.
Anything over that they re position out of KSAN.

Thanks for answer.
In this case the runway it's 1000 ft longer than what I describe so what do you think will be the range from there..
What plane would you consider for that problem? Cl300?

check this link
Gulfstream G200 Description (http://jetadvisors.com/gulfstream-g200/)

not complete data but perhaps will give you a reference

The CL300 is the Super Mid to go with. Peformence is strong. It can leave 4,900ft and fly direct to Hawaii.

From the link for wiedehopf - Should answer your question.
First, you need to check your BOW, as the "advertised" max range is with full fuel and 4 pax-- BUT!! Most G200s will not carry 4 pax, luggage (say 400 pounds), and full fuel and be under MTOW... so check that first with your serial number.

Second, you will be able to go max range every day of the year from a sea level, 8000 ft strip-- as long as there are no climb restrictions off of that runway-- if there are not, then yes, you can go max range every single day of the year.

However-- keep in mind that this is about a 6 and a half to 7 hour airplane... yes it has been flown longer than that, but typically this is a max 7 hour airplane. So if your winds are strong one day, you will not make it the full 3150nm you are talking about.

I know the cl300 is the midsize to go, but is really out of my budget, I get a very used 2004 cl300 for the price I get a 2008 g200 with half use.
My big issue is I operate from a 6000 ft strip. I need to know if i can operate there..

Bizjetlover,

If you call Gulfstream, their flight ops will run a performance and flight plan for you based on your runway.

not that i did much ... but no one i repeat no one is going to give you a yes or no answer. because you are not asking a yes or no question.

especially if you don't even provide an airport. temperature and elevation and climb profile matter a LOT. and in case of this model even the individual airplanes differ quite a bit which is something only you can find out...

also you are saying max pax... you cannot even take on max fuel with more than 4 pax.
so probably it's not going to work. maybe 5.5 hours that's only a guess.

have you even read both pages of posts i linked in my edit?
not that i am a pilot but are you one? because you should know like this no one can provide you an answer even if they wanted to. and if you have that much trouble with the matter maybe you should hire a pilot or a dispatcher to calculate the ranges of different jets for you so you can actually make a good decision. it's not like you are buying a used car and can't spare the money.

With 6000ft you can go max TOW with the G200. Pending it is not hot and high airport

6 hour endurance in the LRC with 1500lbs reserve. 7 hours not going to happen.

I flew a G200 for five years, the last one delivered. It's a dog. We can't Seletar (WSSL) 6000 feet ISA+10, with 6 pax and 13500lbs of fuel to Maldives (VRMM). We had to use the Changi (WSSS) for the trip. On most days with full fuel, you can only take 1 pax. You are limited by weight for you climb, typical 10000lbs fuel and 6 pax, max FL390. then step climb as you burn fuel. Max duration I have flown the aircraft was from Long Beach to Honolulu, 6.7 hours, 8 pax, 13800lbs fuel. Started at FL340 ended up at FL410 max.

Thank you, I assume I only can go full fuel, max pax only from a 8000 ft runway. Another option is a legacy 600, it's a better field bird?

You won't be able to put full fuel AND full pax regardless of runway length--structural limit.

The CL350, with a light BOW might do six pax and full fuel, some really light ones can manage eight with very little fuel off loaded. Seven hours at M.78.
