AAR has to be one of the coolest innovations in aerospace history.

Now THAT video is the ultimate ripostet to the "typhoon can't replace Tornado" folk! Four Paveway LGB/PGM, 2 ASRAAM, 2 underwing tanks, a 27mm cannon and a targeting pod, with space left for another 4 BVR AAM...

How many Jaguars would have it taken to replicate that capability? And still lack radar and air to air capability (and thrust!).

An FGR4, looks like the RAF have at long last finally replaced the Phantom FGR2, and without the whining in the back...

Can only assume that USAF now have contactless credit card readers!

Paying for it in £30 chunks is gonna take a while....

Both Typhoons seemed extremely stable in contact, to my ignorant eyes. A combination of 'good hands' and a good FBW airframe, I assume?

Not paying for it, everywhere I go in the States everyone who performs any service for you expects a tip!

It's not often you pronounce your ignorance but this is one of them...

My ignorance is that I wasn't aware that the USAF did hose & basket ;)

Retro fitted onto a lot of KC 135s and standard as in the pic on the KC 10.

Ah, the mystical art of basket dancing, sometimes likened to taking a flying f##k at a rolling doughnut, or pushing wet spaghetti up a cat's arse....

It may have a missile or two on the rear station(s). The front right station is arguably the last place you put a missile if you think gun use is more likely. Saves any concern on carriage life when other options are available. Every penny saved and all that.

Where exactly are those folk, or are you quoting a legacy opinion from when the Typhoon had a much reduced capability to the current one?

Mil-26Man,

Why thank you, I'm flattered, but please keep your opinions of my arse to yourself eh?
