Any Schneider Race experts out there? (1927)

My brother and I have in our possession a medal to commemorate/celebrate the Italian Win of the Schneider Air Races in the Solent of 1927! ;) Unfortunately it has no ribbon or clasp, does anyone know what should be there, or direct me to someone who would know or be able to help, or indeed value said object?
