For a considerable period of time, airport upgrade works have been planned at Arad. Has any substantial progress happened on this ?
It looks like virtually all traffic has moved to nearby Timisoara and by then of next month after the end of summer charters to Antalya, Arad might get to join the club of zombie airports in Europe which no longer have regular passenger service.
Anyone with local knowledge able to provide a more comprehensive update ?
