Fire training during Accred course, UK

I'm having a bit of a re-read of the regs regarding Fire Training w.r.t. the CC Accreditation course in the UK/Europe. It mentions "Practical Fire Training" and wondered how many people have used and extinguisher against the number who have merely seen a video or had a visual demo?
I guess it is down to interpretation of the word "Practical"?
