Hey,
I need some data.
According to your experience, what’s the usual TOT at idle for RR 250-C20?
I know it depends on installation, OAT, etc., just need approximate values.
I’m more curious for C20W variant, but I would appreciate any information for the other variants of RR250 as well.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no f.... clue- but who cares at idle anyway?
Sure there are starting and operating limits in the handbook which needs to be observed.
But if you need to know

I know what the limits are.
Just asking for experience-based values....

For both the C20B engine and the C20W, you should expect to see around 450c to 480c at idle.

Who cares?
We do. Every pilot records them every day, and a power check in flight too.
We trend them, and have caught problems early that way.

All installed in 500's
C20B#1 shows a low of 426C@-6C OAT to 544 at 40C 2,000pa (A miserable humid day in NW Missouri)
C20B#2 shows a low of 423@-1C 517@32C 2,000pa

Pretty much linier movement in-between,

C20Rs run hotter

My weakest C20R is showing 518C at 0C and 608C at 33C at sea level
A stronger C20R I have is showing 492 at -4C (3000') 605C at 38C at 2000' pa
Another strong one was showing 498C at -9 (6000') and has been consistently showing 601C at 28 (3000') lately.

Average is about about 500 at 0C and 590s at 33C near sea level
