ASIC Background Checks Overseas

It doesn't say on the Aviation Id Australia site anything about Police checks if you spent some time overseas.

It just says that one gives them the go ahead to do checks themselves in Oz.

It can take up to 6 months and cost hundreds to get these through Embassy's, anyone know what is required ?

So they want 10 years of where I lived. If in another country for several of those 10 years, do you know if I require a background check from that country ?

If so, then I wont be working for 6 months !

I just said I am not a citizen of (X) country so about impossible to get a police report.

They said you need one.

I said what exactly do you want it to say? it will cost me about $100.
