Singapore Airlines offers voluntary no-pay leave for cabin crew - Channel NewsAsia (http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/singapore-airlines-offers-voluntary-no-pay-leave-for-cabin-crew-9090188)

Hey guys,

Just went through this article regarding Singapore airlines, and seem to be worried whether the same will translate to us pilots as well in the near future.

Currently flying in the subcontinent , with aspirations of flying in the big three in the M/E, do you think low cost long haul will affect these carriers, to a point where well established airlines will start taking financial hits?

Are the M/E backed up enough by cash to hold through the storm?

Will people actually prefer low cost long haul flying with crappy seats and leg room as compared to a full service legacy carrier?

Would love to hear your inputs, but lets try to keep it directional and get some insight into what lies ahead!..

Regards

I pay extra for a good legroom and entertainment . The economy is relatively better so marketing and product quality can influence .
