$500 for lifetime protection. What a bargain.

Switch off Wi-Fi, or disconnect Ethernet cable. Re-boot. Open edge or explorer, close edge or explorer. Open add remove programs or similar. uninstall any unexpected recent programs. run Anti-V and Anti-Malware. re-boot and reconnect to the internet.

Thanks. Did everything except disconnect the router. That does sound wise.

I wish I'd recorded my Forest Gump conversation I had a few years back. It lasted at least 20 minutes, and even when I said I couldn't press control and ? because I'd only got one finger, he still persisted. I kept referring to The accident.

$750, I think he said. I recall posting on Prune that my gasp was real. I drawled out "That's all they give me a year."

Even when I interrupted and said, "I know . . . I'll press the other key with my nose!" I didn't get a protest, but later he suddenly said, I think you are making a fool of me. I've been doing this for 14 years and I know when people are making a fool of me.

It took him a long while to realize.
