Regular Pasenger Saftey Concearns

As a frequent passenger I have some concerns regarding cabin safety.
On a recent Ryanair flight the cabin crew yet again were not in place for the start of the safety briefing with the rear placed crew member only joining after the exits and floor lighting had been explained.
This again happened on my return journey, I did question the crew and was told this is normal procedure as the rear crew member is needed to operate the floor lighting and therefore cant be in place at the start of the briefing.
Please can those in the know confirm if this is true.
Also I can only recall this happening on Ryanair flights with Italian based aircraft and crew.
I decided to test them and deliberately left my armrest up and my bag pulled forward and not under the seat in front, both the crew member and the No 1 failed to spot these items and i was not asked to comply with the procedure for landing. however before landing I did make sure my bag was under the seat in front and my arm rest lowered.
Are some crew becoming blasé about safety and should / can I report these issues to any governing body or the airline?

If I understand you correctly, would probably argue that you could see the other crew member further forward in the cabin until other crew member in position.

Personally, I have always found Ryanair cabin crew attentive to seat/floor checks before take-off and landing.

As ever, you will get good/bad/indifferent with ALL carriers. One one RYR trip, I pointed out to the CC that there was no lifebelt under my seat (this was 9 years ago) and they promised to bring a spare. Which they did not. The sea began about 1,000m after rotation.

Th safety demo thing absolutely is true. The crew 2 operates the emergency lighting then joins the rest of the crew in cabin, usually starting to point out the exits before reaching their position. It's good as you actually get to see the lighting in action. You always know when a Ryanair plane is going through the safety demo as you can see the evac lighting flash on the outside.

British Airways used to only perform a seatbelt check and nothing else. Not sure if it's still the case.

I've always found FR crew to be professional.

Upon what basis do you make this claim as if it matters? Is there a standard for where the crew are and when? Do you know what Ryanair's SOP is?

You questioned the crew and they told you it was normal procedure, so what's your problem? Why do you even think there is one? Again, on what basis and what rules are they supposedly not following?

There's bad eggs in every industry, but to avoid wasting your time further and looking silly, maybe at least find out what the 'standard' is before making such claims... :cool:
