View Full Version : Full eye examination and spirometry at every renewal?

Hi,

I have to get my EASA class 1 renewed soon, and having moved since my last renewal I was looking for a new doc.

A guy I know from (modular) class gave me two addresses with one being closer, but more expensive. When I looked closer at his document, I saw he had been charged for a full eye/vision examination and a spiro test (spiro, not just the cheap small plastic tube), for renewal.

I must admit I cannot remember whether I had to lung test last time I renewed, but i am sure I did not have a full (like in initial) eye check, just basics and in general I remember it as a "has anything changed since last time" talk.

Maybe I have missed something and the renewals are generally getting more comprehensive? Or is he charging extras?
