The mustang known as Baby Duck is no longer with us.

Two souls perished.

Very sorry to hear the awful news, a terrible loss for both families.

Vlado always came across as an exceptionally nice individual on the Warbird Info Exchange site.

Bad month for P-51s with the Berlin Express incident and Miss Velma accident at Duxford - more happily no one was hurt...

Tragic... wonderful people by all accounts, and what a gorgeous aircraft.

FWIW, "One witness who saw the crash told investigators that the plane was flying just above the level of power lines, traveling from northwest to southeast. The last action the plane took was to pitch upward and then roll to the left before it crashed, said Peter Knudson, a spokesman with the NTSB."

Interview with the NTSB at the scene, at the very end she relates what the witness saw.
