Maybe took a lesson from the pilot asking passengers to pray. Be careful what you wish for.....

Was gonna suggest that the PAX in question sticks to prayer and maybe should avoid the coin toss.

I'm not really surprised. Aviation in China is now affordable to milllions more people than it has ever been. The same old lady probably threw a few RMB at the first bus, train and car she travelled in. Less sophisticated people (erm... British charter passengers?) are now able to enjoy what the rest of us have been enjoying for generations. I would expect the same from some people in India and eventually Africa. The real problem is with the clever people like us. We don't expect some people have never flown before and fail to spend enough on their education. Then we fail to monitor their boarding.

At least this was spotted and something was done. So thumbs up for that.

Then she threw nine coins at the aircraft’s engine turbine. ?

She'll have a job finding the turbine from the front !

She probably thought it was a LCC and coins were needed to start the engines..
