Thank you to the A400M 'Atlas', C-17 and Voyager team for a nice flypast over Cogges this evening at 19:00Z!

A400M flew directly over BEagle Towers, C-17 a little tighter and Voyager rather looser.

What was the occasion? But glad that such fun is still permitted!

:ok:

Nice seeing a C17 over Javelin towers in South Wales around teatime, West to East over Newport at about 4 thousand feet or less.

Saw the two A400Ms orbiting along with the Voyager and a C130 all at various altitudes...just needed a C-17 for the full house!

Made me smile with a tinge of pride creeping in there as well.

The occasion was the annual buttering up of local land-owners at the Officers' Mess.

I think I can do better than all of you as over past few days have had two US Stealth bombers and a B52 and another US bomber B2? directly overhead my daughter's weekend cottage a few miles south of Brize and clearly on centre line of Fairford.

As for C130 and A400m ten a penny:{

Saw it too. Not often you get a Brize Royal Flush (four major types in quick succession). Guessing it wasn't just a coincidence.

Also v much appreciated the two Tiffies orbiting at low level the week before last, presumably before heading off towards Shrivenham??

Not forgetting the B1s. Have seen both them and the Buffs stooging around

As I rarely get to see anything remotely interesting, and that includes the odd Fat Albert into Aldergrove, I reckon that I'll have to ensure that the DUP demand that LFA 15 be re-opened to all. Then I might see something really interesting. As for operation Royal Blue, the last time I watched the stream was when 4 frightenings launched to join it overhead Wattisham in, IIRC, 1970.

Stayed at Perpignan a couple of days ago.
Saw lots of what I took to be Guppy type
aircraft, I suppose moving large parts around.
Toulouse is just up the road a bit.

Yes, they would be the Airbus Beluga.

Plans will shortly be spooling up for the grand RAF 100 flypast in roughly 12 months time. There is talk of 100 aircraft flying down the Mall, which I guess would be 95 from Training Command and all we've got available from the front-line??

...which I guess would be 95 from Training Command...

Apart from the fact that the Arse-scent mercenaries, who fly most of the few aeroplanes Learning Command can afford to rent these days, would need to negotiate non-contract payment terms, the worriers of Mah-mah would no doubt realise that flying SE aeroplanes over London (except for RAFAT, it seems) is a no-no....

:hmm:
