Flying in Brazil as non citizen

Hello Everyone,

I would like to ask you if anyone has experience with flying in Brazil as non citizen.

I am European citizen married with a Brazilian, holding a permanent residency visa in Brazil, as well as unrestricted working permit and „carteira de trabalho“. I hold a EASA fATPL and I would have to convert it into a Brazilian one via ANAC. Portuguese is my native language.

Does anyone has experience in flying in Brazil without a Brazilian passport?

Avianca Brasil offers FO positions with as low as 500 hours, is that open only to Brazilian nationals?

It's been asked and answered many times, and the answer is the same as it always is, Brazilian citizens only in commercial aviation.

If you are Portuguese there is a fast track to citizenship that takes 2-3 years. If you are any other nationality expect to wait around five years from your current situation.

A search will give you plenty of threads about this, nothing has changed in recent years and even the proposed opening up to foreign owners won't change the pilot position.
