Hello All,

Can anyone give me some intel on GIV-SP operating in Europe under EASA regs? From my research in the market, you see very few IV-SPs operating in this part of the world. I recall hearing something about the airframe not being built to European standards and was only certified in 2008 or so? Can anyone clarify?

Thanks

Yes, I would agree the G450 built between 2004-2016 is fairly common in Europe. I was inquiring more about the GIV-SP airframe built between 1993-2003,which according to Amstat, only 9 are currently based in Western Europe.

G-IV F-GPAK was registered and based in Paris in 1989 for HRH Prince Karim Aga Khan and flew until 2003.

The swiss had Bruce Rappaport's and heirs', HB-IMY, registered in late 1988 and operated from Geneva until recently.

JAA certified the G-IV almost 14 years after the FAA, see below for the certification background:

"EASA/JAA Validation Application Date: 14 March 2001

EASA/JAA Certification Date: 20 October 2001*
(*Date of first TC issuance within EU MS, by Austro Control, JAA recommendation 5. October 2001)"
