From Associated Press(11/7):

"FBI agents and airport police questioned an unruly American Airlines passenger who got into a fight Thursday with a flight attendant on a trip from Dallas to Dayton, an airport spokeswoman said.

The crew of flight 1332 radioed about 45 minutes before landing at 5:30 p.m. EDT to ask that police meet the plane at Dayton International Airport, spokeswoman Sharon Sears said. Other passengers on the flight said the man was taken away in handcuffs.

American spokesman John Hotard said the men exchanged angry words and then there was physical contact between them. The men were not injured seriously, Sears said.

"The individual had a misunderstanding with the flight attendant and was not happy with the service he was receiving," she said.

No charges were expected to be filed against the passenger, she said. The FBI decided federal charges were not warranted, and local police could not file charges since the incident happened in flight, she said.

The fight was not serious enough for the pilot to divert the flight, Hotard said, but the captain radioed American's headquarters in Dallas to ask for FBI agents to meet the plane.

"You take no chances with the environment we're in," Hotard said.

He said unruly passengers who get into altercations with flight attendants can be charged with interfering with a flight crew, a federal offense.

The Fokker 100 jet was carrying 87 passengers, two pilots and three flight attendants.

Messages seeking comment from the FAA were left at the agency's regional office in Chicago Thursday night."

Would I get in trouble if I wondered out loud if it was a " fight ", or just a slapping, scratching, and biting match?
