I'm 38 soon. Has anyone at this age gone through the likes of Oxford etc. and walked straight into a decent job?

Am not niave by the way, have spent 20 years studying airline recruitment.

Yes, started at 36 with CTC. No delay or issues getting a job with Ezy.

Modular Atpl at 38. I got a 737 job almost straight after finishing. I am 51 now and been a 777 skipper in the Middle east for 5 years. Good luck

You'll know too, having been in recruitment, that where we are in the economic cycle probably has the biggest impact on how easy or difficult it is to get a pilot job. It looks as though we are now entering the downward cycle for airlines, so things are not going to get easier. Thomson Airways company council, for example have just voiced the this to their pilots. The good times lasted about 3 years, which is about normal. The bad times seem to last a little longer! Best of luck!
