Big blue sky, no wind and plenty o sun, what could be nicer than that after a hard days work, well seeing and hearing a lurvly old Dak in drab olive fly by my house at about 1000ft east to west, and recip about one hour later, could have refuelled at EGNH,
only one thing beats that!

Absolutely right!

At Compton Abbas on 6 July, a Dak from Kemble did an amazing low fly by after departing from the GA/Yak Club fly-in.

See some pics at this link:

Possibly the only good thing about living in Coventry! Shame the local DC3's have a less cool paint job! Always nice to see them about!

Thank you R Driver, really brill shots of the low level Dak, not far away from the ground effects, I am evious of the two people caught in the piccie being so close to such a nice A/C passing as close.

My Regards

Well, just overfly Popham and see the one that is parked there. A great thrill to see it arrive last Saturday 13/07/02.

Is the one at Popham G-DAKK by any chance? South Coast Airways, the operators, have just been placed into liquidation. See the following statement on their website, it makes interesting reading:

Sad day for a lot of people who have lost their money.

I can beat that! I saw a Lancaster do a circuit and a low fly by at Cambridge and it was one of the only two left flying in the world. There was also a Hurricane.
