I have seen quite a few Alliance F100s parked at the tiger terminals in Sydney and Melbourne, using tiger call signs. Anyone have any info as to what the story is?

It's ACMI charter/wet lease in lieu of planned 737 ops.

I was a little surprised last week when I heard a "Tigg Oz" call sign taxiing in, and the aircraft was indeed an Alliance Fokker!!!

Virgin subs out their 737 work to alliance and now own tiger will do exactly the same, can we see a full fleet of Tiger F100's with the 320 leases coming to end and 737 ops post poned

Alliance shares over the past 12 months are up 44.8%, Virgin are down 38.3% so Alliance must be doing something right.

Also heard Alliance has purchased a F70 from the Dutch Government that is in a VIP config and mint condition, only done approx. 8,500 hours.

at par share prices of 19 cents and 8 cents respectively, neither airline can boast any successful business acumen.

Come on Bullwinkle. You get row 3 aisle seat and a bottle of mould water... what else do you overpaid bus driver's want?
Fair enough! The way this place is being run, I should just be thankful that I've still got a job, at least for now! :{

I must say in 25 years I have never seen a strategy like Virgin's : hand the opposition a large amount of flying on a silver platter

Spot on, very good analogy... except for someone who has no need to operate an aircraft on arrival, also staff but he apparently doesn't 'dilute' the product... do these people have the word logic in their desk dictionaries or has that page been ripped out along with the one with elitism.

It's not a strategy... they don't have the page in their dictionary that includes the word strategy so they don't know what one is...
