I am the Vice Chair of the North East Land Sea and air Museum who are custodians of Vulcan XL319.

This aircraft was delivered to the museum at Sunderland Airport on 21st January 1983 and is currently undergoing a repaint.

The aircraft was delivered to Sunderland by Neil McDougall and John Reeve.

We are keen to make contact with Sqn Leader McDougall and the rest of the XL319 crew for an event planned later this year.

Neil McDougall and John Reeve have perhaps unwittingly played the biggest role in ensuring Vulcans survive around the country as they were the primary delivery crew for the disposals in 1982 & 1983.

These deliveries involved flying Vulcan aircraft into small, some times disused locations, a feat that would be unheard of today.

We would very much like the work of the crews to be properly recorded.

If any of you out there know Sqn Leader McDougall and could put in a good word it would be greatly appreciated

I worked with Neil at BAe flying college in the nineties.

As far as I know, he still lives in Ayr after his retirement.
