Could someone explain what the intent is behind this. Is it based on minimizing time for a person being too far to get to an O2 mask?

"An internal door in the aft lavatory provides full time access to luggage, but it may not be left open for more than 5 min. above FL 410 to meet certification requirements."

" There is a secondary pressure bulkhead between the aft baggage compartment and cabin with a pressure door that allows brief periods of access to luggage when the aircraft is flying above FL 410 within minimal risk of inadvertent pressurization loss due to rotor burst. "

Its the same restriction on the G650, Internal Baggage Should not be opened above FL400. The reasoning is due to possible rotor burst puncturing the baggage area. Never has happened, but I guess the FAA, EASA wanted that restriction.

Same on the F7X

Why explicitly not permitted above FL400 in the G650 but "not more than 5 mins" in the G500?
Weighing up the risk of probabilities??
