Computer/ Internet novice here. Can’t get topic pages to load on a forum site. Only happens on the one site & when signed in, can lurk just fine, get “Can’t find”, or “SQL error messages, from that website. Site owner says I must have a virus? All other Internet activity works perfectly. Have done numerous full system scans with Norton, Kapersky, & Microsoft, with nothing found. Have Windows 10 PC on DSL, both wired & wireless. Same problem on 3 other computers, & an IPAD on cell connection. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks.

Since the issue is website specific, that suggests that the problem lies with that specific forum. Your user permissions might not have been set correctly by the forum owner or possibly your anti virus software is blocking requests from the site.

Might be worth seeing if creating another user account with a different user identity works properly. If it does, then the problem is with your original account settings on the forum. If not, then the problem is probably related to your computer settings, or possibly with your internet address block being blocked for some other reason.

Yes, I established a new account, which worked fine, for about 15 minutes.
The blocking problem only happens on the one website, & only when signed in.

My original account worked fine for a year or so, & I can't remember making any setting changes on his site or on my computer. I have disabled my anti virus program for a while. It didn't seem to have any effect, one way or the other. Thanks for input.

Do you have both Kaspersky and Norton antivirus installed?
Best uninstall one of them. They'll squabble, and often at the worst time.

Tried the site in a different browser?

I have recently read an article that referred to Windows 10 having the ability to lift firewall restrictions temporarily in order to access certain sites if necessary. The thing that stuck in my mind was that they mentioned a typical default period of 15 minutes.

So, another thing that might be worth checking in the absence of any other solution.
