Really concerned!
JAA PPL thats desperate to hold an ATPL and part way through it recently lost an arguement during a road crash (not my fault) with something far bigger :(

Nasty injuries to leg and knee cap that following Op's are held together with some permanent metallic additions.

At the moment I've been advised not to speak to the CAA (for some very plausible reasons) until I have some idea of a recovery state and timescale. A full or just about full recovery is eventually expected

Clearly I'm not flying at the moment and would not consider doing so until fully fit and beauocrates satisfied.

After any comments really.

How should I best go about speaking to the CAA?? Direct or via the Dr that reissued my Class1 two days before my little mishap???

When should I best speak to them???

How far does my knee need to be able to bend to keep my medical??
what sort of burning hoops will I have to re leap through and of course at what financial cost???

Any of you out there been in a similar situation?

Having remortgaged my house to try and live my dream as you can imagine despite high hopes I'm worried.

Looking for a reality check..............

Cheers guys and gals
