Irish flag-carrier Aer Lingus is launching a new route between Cork and Spanish holiday destination Malaga as part of the winter timetable.
The airline will start a twice-weekly service from Cork to the southern Spanish resort from 29 October, using a Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Aer Lingus operates a daily service to Malaga from its Dublin hub but this will be the first time it has operated a scheduled service to the Spanish city from Cork.
The service will operate on a Tuesday and Saturday as follows:
EI888 Depart Cork 1700 Arrive Malaga 2040
EI889 Depart Malaga 2125 Arrive Cork 2315
It is also investigating opening another new destination in Europe.
