As well as extending 27/09 by some 700 metres to get more runway use, the approach lighting for 27 has been steadily removed over the past 3-4 months, and footings put in for new lights.
One change is the introduction of a gantry over the Sunbury Road which will go in shortly, so any locals out that way be prepared for even more delays.
Could be some interesting looming effects over the road at night nad in misty/low cloud conditions?
