Outook 2007. New Mail and Replying to inbound. Typing yesterday there was a flash of characters as I obviously hit a combination of a couple of keys accidentally and .... the font size on the screen reduced to about 1/4 or less of the previous, tho' the font size shown is still saying 12. No way can I find out what I did, or reverse it.

I can select Flag and the + key, and get the whole screen to enlarge, but pixellated so eventually unreadable.

I normally use 12pt as my font size, and as I have said the size shown is still saying 12, and I can increase that, but I need to select 20pt. before what I see resembles the old 12 pt that I have somehow reduced, and if I send in 20 pt what does the recipient see ? Do they have to stand on the other side of the room to sucessfully read it !

'tis a puzzlement,said Alice.

Try "Ctrl and 0" (0 is zero)

Has a lot of stuff. Seems madly complicated, I am sure there is a good reason for that:-)

Note differing behaviours in different Outlook versions.

Try typing 'font size' in the 'Type a question for help' pane, then look for the description which best fits what you're experiencing.

However, it sounds like you've changed the 'zoom view' size somehow. In the Reply view, click the 'Format Text' tab and look for the 'Zoom' icon (magnifying glass symbol). Click on that and you'll see various options - I suggest you click '100%', then 'OK'.

Try this. Open the email. Assuming you have enabled the standard ribbon, left click on "Other Actions". This will result in a drop down menu. The last item is "Zoom". Click on this and select "100%" and left click on "OK". Job done!

Eureka !!! The Zoom thing did it, many, many, thanks.

No idea how it got reduced tho', a few flashing symbols whilst typing, which lead me to believe that a somewhat fumbled connection of a couple of keys was at fault.

Owe you all a beer.

Grassy arse.

Glad that fixed it!

A few VBs would be good...
