Virgin Express has announced that it will be opening a new base at Cologne/Bonn starting December 2002. It will be to a number of key destinations (routes not announced yet) for the winter seasons and expects to expand this for the summer 2003. By 2006 Virgin Express forsees demand for up to 20 aircraft in Germany.
