I heard some thing about Gulf Air operating to Australia again.

Can't confirm but James Hogan (New CEO) is from Australia - They also need to feed business at their hub to compete with Emirates - so it would be a logical move.

This would be interesting. It is only 4 months since they announced their code share with Qantas via Singapore, due to their "direct" OZ flights being deemed "unprofitable!
