Hi all,

Our 2017 Aviation engagement survey is now up and running and we'd love you to take the 10 minutes or so to complete it. The survey relies on you guys to fill it out, it's your way to have a say about your airline/employer. This is a unique survey that asks people working for all aviation employers to complete the same survey so we can compare the results between companies.

Employers hate this survey because we release the results publically and use it to debunk their own internal surveys that they use to support Executive bonuses. You can complete the survey by following this link -

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pprune17

I will post some of the 2016 results again below this post.

I'm backing Air Niugini to set a new low and achieve less than 17.25% this year.

This survey is nonsense anyone can enter anything another SP stroke of genius to justify his own position and that of his cronies.

17.25 yes that was the lowest score ever and it may be under threat.

Here is the major airlines from our first survey in 2012.

Given that QF basically stayed where it was, this is a remarkable achievement by VA...

I understand the big airline has put out its official engagement survey....advice for those who are unhappy. Regardless of the question, fill out the most negative answer.

For example, if it asks how well you get along with your workmates...tick the I hate them box. The Executives rely on these types of question to get their score up high so they can get their bonuses.

I would not fill an employers survey out. By taking the time to answer the questions they consider you engaged. Big tick to the employer, big minus to the employee.
I have completed the ALAEA survey. Don't consider the ALAEA has the same motives behind the survey as the employer.

Thats not what I would expect to be told by a person in your position..The truth is if you open the survey you are deemed engaged.

Steve can you confirm or deny if completing an engagement survey (regardless of how the questions are answered) registers the applicant as engaged?

Thanks.

..The truth is if you open the survey you are deemed engaged.Exactly, the hide of these people. Treat you like crap then ask you to fill it in so they can get their bonuses. That's what it's all about these days. I have never seen anything positive come of it.

How do you validate that all 950 of those responses are actually from people employed in Aviation? For all we know, it could be some random who could have stumbled on the thread by chance and filled out some BS on the survey.:ugh:

guess its trust just like when a company provides a engagement survey with a generic password and persons won't use it more then once even if its better for their KPI if they do.

Just hide or lie about the results year after year.

Just to answer a few questions guys.

Keeping it open a while longer. Waiting for a few other groups who will email to members.

How do we know people who fill it out are Aviation employees? Well we don't but when you submit it registers your ip address (we don't get a copy) but this means it prevents that ip submitting twice. So anyone trying to weight the survey one way or another would have little or no impact.

I note that the survey has been extended by 3 days - last I heard was a 49% response rate but that might have been where I work.
