I arrived last night 25th saw a 146 in the executive area last night rumours going about Brighton using this to fly up to Newcastle are these true?

surely not

Why would that be surprising? It isn't unusual for football clubs to charter aeroplanes for internal flights that would take too long by other means of travel.

What a bizarre concept! Where would they put the pier?

Premier League teams often go by air. Chelsea use Farnborough quite often (Fulham and Reading too when they were Premier League) and away teams often fly into Farnborough when playing Chelsea.

Football teams use charter aircraft all the time, especially if you look at some of the distances bewteen the two cities.

This is NOT unusual.

The new Eastern ERJ-170 is currently (01:20) on its way from Gatwick to Newcastle , so I am assuming that's NUFC returning (victorious :) ) from Brighton.

I once flew the Tottenham Hotspur team Stansted-Newcastle in an F27 in cr@p weather and then had to go around to make way for an ambulance flight!

A taxi would be far cheaper...

Hopefully you returned to Stansted so they forfeited the game. (I'm an Arsenal supporter)

Fulham once used a 747 to transport supporters to Middlesborough.
