Well, it certainly makes it more difficult for larger aircraft.

Somebody ought to buy a Harrier and base it there, then do slow circuits with the nozzles at 45deg right over City Hall. Bastards!

Let's see. Elect a land developer as President then within two weeks his Aviation Regulators close an airport in an area with what must be prime real estate:sad:. Not suspicious to me.

SMO is a heavily Democratic area, and this deal was pushed to completion by Michael Huerta -- an Obama holdover. The District Court finalized the deal literally on Huerta's last day as acting US Secretary of Transportation. Trump's pick, Elaine Chao, replaced Huerta the very next day (though I believe he's still the Administrator).
